Using Samba shares under Windows 7
Microsoft, as usual, has made life a bit difficult with Windows 7 as one cannot map network drives without modifying the windows registry. Here's a link to the Samba Wiki describing the necessary steps.
Get the file from our site here.You need to be have Administrator privileges to apply this Registry patch. You must restart Windows for this change to take effect.
To Map a network drive, open Windows explorer and right click on the Network which will display the map network drive. The procedure then is pretty much the same as under Windows XP.
